Working at James Technologies in Broomfield, CO: 1 Employee Reviews

James Technologies Employee

"James Engineering I gave it a 2-star rating. It started out great working with them but as time went it started to get very stressful. The owner and son who run the company would not put anything in writing to achieve what they wanted to be done, programming-wise, or electrically done. For a company to in business for as long as they have been, they did not know how to write up a sequence of operations or even a cause and effect for their systems. They consistently fight (owner and son) on the shop floor in front of others on how things should be done and this would fall down to employees, meaning they would take it out on employees. When completing a task that was given it was never to their satisfaction. They always came back and said that things were misunderstood or was not explained well enough, hence nothing was in writing. After a while would put things in writing and they still would say this was not what they meant. They were consistently late with there machines, some were 3 to 5 years behind schedule. This making everything to be very stressful to work on. Money was a big factor as well. They were always looking for loans to keep the company open. They also would tell their employees that if projects did not get completed that they would have to shut their doors only to add more stress to the work environment. Their work relations with customers and vendors were very poor. Either not paying vendors for the products they had purchased or made them wait until they needed something from them and then pay the minimum so they could order more. With customers, they would constantly try blaming the customer so they could try and charge them. It was just a very stressful place to work for..."
