"I did not appreciate the interminably long and rather boring performance reviews as they seldom hit the mark and were easily subverted by a manager or department director. To quote a TV personality - one day you're in and the next day you're out. The politics in such a large company were a definite negative for most of the people trying to get things accomplished. Another point is that they should pay bonuses when they say they are going to do so."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Stop having such knee-jerk reactions to the economic times or the forecast times. They will never stop development but they said so many times that they were doing so when faced with a minor down-time and lost many good people thereby through their very efficient separation routine."
