"JSTOR simply just isn't ready for primetime. The environment is very aggressive and the overall tone of the office is poor. JSTOR chooses to hire mostly short-term contractors and keeps only a few developers in house. This makes every day development and communication very difficult. The company is moving in the right direction in terms of technology, but sticks to an out-of-date business model that has a negative impact on the engineer's ability to develop effectively."
