Equipment Services Project Manager

"I enjoyed my position as project manager but was stifled by upper mgmt."

What do you like about working at Isban?

"I was able to work with a diverse group of people where I may have been, as an American, a minority. The people were welcoming and willing to teach me more Spanish! My direct report was a great manager and allowed me room to grow into my project manager position at the bank."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Speak some Spanish and be prepared for a bit of confusion if hired. I spent my first week and a half without a computer or access to any systems."

What don't you like about working at Isban?

"The management structure was chaotic, the vision for converting the bank to the Santander system was scattershot, deadlines were moveable."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"While my manager was terrific, the managers above him reported to their managers with misinformation. If they gave me half the people and free reign to move projects forward, the chaos could have been avoided. Meetings and discussions were more important than results."
