"I've worked for Intuitive Surgical, working with this company has enhanced my skills in many ways. ISI was truley a great company to be in, but there is also many great opportunities out there. ISI has been around for about 16+ years, The company employs about 1200 people with a few locations, sunnyvale being the corporate location."
"I've worked at Intuitive for almost 2 years. They treat their engineers very well. There is a very open environment as represented by the CEO of the company running the quarterly employee meetings and appearing at other division meetings as well. The only negative is the amount of documentation required for relatively simple engineering changes."

"Almost everything was great, may return someday. Left of my own choice and can be rehired."

"Just be honest, if this is the right place for you it's wonderful but if not they will send you down the road."
What don't you like about working at Intuitive Surgical?
"Non-PhD holders are seldom if ever promoted beyond Principle Developer level. Management and architect positions are almost completely PhD filled. This is probably a natural result of being in the medical device business."

"The philosophy of being a barbarian (ask in the interview) is slipping away, beware that."
