"I've worked at Insight for Living Ministries since 2017. It's a great place to work. All of the employees will become your friends. The organization has amazing benefits for employees and they truly care."
"Fearful, passive-aggressive, aging CEO, great staff, pervasive fear"
What do you like about working at Insight for Living?
"Kind, considerate, and talented employees with values similar to my own. Supporting a unique and Spirit-blessed ministry product with a worldwide influence."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be aware that the executive management team is prohibited by the President from having regular meetings. She (the President) will say she has an open-door policy, but she is rarely in the office, works from home most of the time, and feels threatened if she learns of more than two executive staff members meeting together. She feels threatened by tough decisions and will not engage in conflict resolution or conflict management in any way. If you are well-trained and well-qualified to do your job--whatever that job might be--realized that the President feels inadequate in the face of those who have classic business qualifications and does not know how to leverage experts for the benefit and future of the organization"
What don't you like about working at Insight for Living?
"An absentee CEO without a vision for the future of the ministry, and who is too focused on the minutiae of the present to the deteriment of future of the organization. Fear, myopicism, and a lack of key leadership abilities and business acumen have placed this organization in peril of closing up when either one or the other the husband-and-wife founders are unable to work."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Through the leadership of the Board, develop a robust succession plan and begin to implement it immediately. Focus on the future of the founder's for-profit asset holding company and expand its Board with people or a person who can take over when the founders are off the scene."
