"A toxic environment with poor Sr. Management. Bullying Staff runs the department, Sr. Director is in over her head and gives a platform to the bullies who manipulate her. I've sat in meetings where coworkers are mocked and ridiculed and Director laughed along. Very unpleasant environment to work in with high turnover, go figure."

"We got rocks for nurses week. That about sums up how appreciated we are. Staffing is not adequate and quite frankly is a safety issue. The pay is very low for the DMV area even after receiving a $5/hr raise within the past year. This is an expensive area to live and you cannot live comfortably in any of the nice areas surrounding the hospitals on just a nurses salary from Inova. Benefits are lacking as well. You would think a health system would offer decent healthcare benefits. Prices of healthcare insurance keeps going up and quality keeps going down. We could really benefit from the help of a union to fight for higher/adequate pay and better benefits. They would also support adequate staffing. I have the best co-workers but I fear for the worst because we have very few experienced nurses, high acuity and high volume."
