"Progressive Furniture is now closed due to competition from imports and lack of vision from the sales and management force."
What do you like about working at Progressive Furniture?
"The people were great, my manager was a person that cared about his employees, the hours were good and the work was fun."
What don't you like about working at Progressive Furniture?
"Some of the manamgement was stuck in the we have done things this way for 30 years attitude. I know that is the reason that Progressive is shut down."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"They should have gotten some insight into what is going on now and what they needed to do to bring their products to a 21st century level."

"When I left teaching Oakworks was my first offer and I needed to take it because of financial reasons. I was planning to look for a new position when they started hacking posiitions. My supervisor was one of the worst I have ever had but he was the boss."
What do you like about working at Oakworks?
"Some of the products were interesting. There are a lot of processes that need improved."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Only take it if you really need the money and start looking right away. They go through periodic purges."
What don't you like about working at Oakworks?
"Really bad management on the manufacturing side."

"They couldn't grasp any suggestions."

What do you like about working at American Express?
"I was working with friends from college."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be flexible and patient and learn as much as you can from as many people as you can. Move lateral to gain additional experience and then upward movement would be easier."
What don't you like about working at American Express?
"Change was a very slow process. All recommendations had to go through many, many layers of management even when cost justifications were significant."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I worked there a long time ago. Many of the issues I experienced have probably been resolved. All of their data was still on a mainframe making it difficult to get data samples. I would probably recommend that they get rid of the mainframe if they haven't done so already so the data could be cleaned and the data they need for their reporting is easier to access."
