"I've worked for IDTech since 2019. My immediate supervisor was great, but the company as a whole leaves much to be desired. There is effectively no opportunity for advancement or career growth as a software developer, and the technology is mired in heaps of technical debt. Miscommunications between teams are commonplace. This causes a lot of workplace stress. I also feel the company culture is behind the times, with outdated practices and standards."

"Seeing the flame lit up in the eyes of someone who successfully programmed their first project is nostalgic for one's own first experience. Every week, I was assigned to 8 new students. They can vary from fresh beginners to advanced students. Becoming an instructor to pass the baton onto the next generation is a feeling that no jobs other than an instructor or teacher can feel. However, teaching such a wide array of skilled students can be stressful. Despite only having 8 students per week, creating and tailoring lessons to keep all students engaged and excited was a challenge. In addition, as a robotics instructor, I have to ensure to keep count of the equipment and pieces of the robotics kit. At the end of the week, the robots must be taken apart and prep for next week's students. This job can be very labor-intensive and would require passion and persistence to succeed."

"The work place is both very fast-paced and tends to get somewhat hectic. The work days ran from around 7am to 7pm (including driving) and Thursdays, when Student Reviews were due Friday, many instructors were working to 11pm or later. Despite the very long days and hectic environment, the experience is immensely rewarding and undeniably a lot of fun. The equipment supplied is top-notch, and the software is cutting-edge for the industry."
