"They had new equipment. Everything was in it's place. If you needed something to do the job they had it. The people were great."

"The job security is not good at all. You can bet on big layoffs every 5 years or so."

"Variety of tasks and the leading edge technology."

"I'm not there anymore, but the business is slowing down."

"Working with many different types of Engineers as well as many different types of issues when you work in development of the manufacturing process. There was always a new problem to solve."

"Understand the job requirements and be knowledgable of them. The learning curve is very large in development and if you are not ready for lots of change, don't apply."

What don't you like about working at Hutchinson Technology?

"There was sometimes unclear direction of leadership in my department. Some was because of development and trade secrets that would slow things down because of paper work that needed to be done that was out of our hands."

"If they don't know there job by now, there isn't anything that I can say to keep them focused on the goals they need to achieve."

"There were some good people there. Maybe working nce. Only a few in managment positions who where very goodmanagers and nice to work with."

"Make sue to stress if you feel like moving up in the company or not."

"They did not have alot of respect for some of thier employees."

"To focus more on what they can do better, not wha there employees did wrong."

"Very team oriented. The people are top notch professional, but very easy to work and talk with. Probably the best work environment I've had."

"Be yourself and relax, because the interview process is quite extensive and they are just trying to see if you would be a good contributor to the company and fellow workers."

What don't you like about working at Hutchinson Technology?

"I had to walk quite a distance between my office building and manufacturing building."

"The only thing I can think of, would be to encourage employees to continually try to improve their value to the company and themselves by either courses or better yet, onsite training or certification at increasing knowledge levels, for instance Black Belt training w/certification for each increased level."
