"When the exiting General Manager recommend me to interview for his position that would be open, my co-worker, and the working conditions became very political."

What do you like about working at Huntleigh?

"Motivating the existing team to increase attendance by 60% and play a vital role in the aquisiton of two expanded contracts with 2 airlines at PDX. Having a position created for me, as Terminal Operations Manager. Yet, even though I was not the acting General Manager, all of the Airline Managers treated me as such. The Airline managers were making it clear to my company that they would have preferred my being promoted to General Manager instead of my co-worker."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Listen to the answers that you are given by the company. This will allow a canidate to be able to make an informed decision."

What don't you like about working at Huntleigh?

"My co-worker was not professional in the way he decided to lay me off instead of forging new relationships himself with the Airline managers."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Due to the tenor of an employee, doesn't mean that they should be automatically promoted. The canidate must already posess the skills and abilities to enter into the professional relationships already forged. If the canidate is not capable the relationships and productivity will be negetively impacted. If this happens, councel with the canidate and affirmative action should take place swiftly. If the canidate still is unable to perform, serious consideration should be held to see if a wrong choice was made. Which would have allowed me to be strongly considered for replacemenet of the canidate which didn't meet the qualifications. Then serious councel should be intergrated so that similar decisions are much more well executed."
