"It's government, so there's no way to get around the politics."

"There seems to be some underlying problem, an elephant in the room if you will. I'm not sure if I'm expecting it to be that way though."

"It's great to say that you want to grow within the company, but don't expect to."
What don't you like about working at Vail Resorts?
"The pay is not competitive, and living near a resort takes a toll on your expenses. Vail Resorts does not seem concerned with that and sees employee turnover as a good thing."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would take more time to listen to the operations employees at the mountain locations (we struggle with daily living expenses.) and move the corporate headquarters back to the mountains."

"I like the benefits: healthcare, retirement plan, leave accrual. I also enjoy working with my co-workers."

"Make sure to keep searching for other job opportunities if you want to make a decent salary"

"Working for the state does not pay! I have a Bachelor's and a Masters degree but I am forced to work a part time also, in order to pay the bills"

"I would have higher salaries for employees, especially those employees with advanced degrees"
