"I've worked for Arconic/Howmet since 2018. The company's main goal is to provide quality aerospace grade products while fostering a safe and friendly environment for employees. Arconic is based out of Pittsburgh with facilities throughout the world employing nearly 10000 employees."
"Honestly, if it hadn't been for COVID, I'd still be at Howmet. I would have thought that the aerospace industry would have been a much more secure field than automotive but COVID has changed the game. Maybe if Howmet gotten a fat government contract to build ventilators that nobody needs I'd still be working there?"
"I worked for Howmet Aerospace for nearly 24 years. Call me."
"Overall from an operations perspective, the company has all the right metrics and tools to measure success. Having worked positions of higher responsibility at other companies, My personal go was to get in at the mid-management position and work my way up. There are no bad teams, only bad leaders. The Burden of Leadership is at times a heavy one to carry. Leadership needs to poise under pressure, to alleviate the strain on their front line workers as well as to provide clear direction to the lower levels of managers. through the Covid-19 Crisis, there has been a lot of Strain on the industry. There has been not much poising under the pressure. Hard decisions have been put off, and the company has suffered for it. Almost every person seeks new employment based on their leadership and I would, unfortunately, have to be one of those as well. I enjoy working with my team. I've enjoyed building them up and seeing them Grow. and that is something I will miss."
"Howmet Aerospace is a global leader in engineered metal products. The forging of seamless super-alloy turbine structural components is both challenging and rewarding. The technical engineering requirements and manufacturing demand will provide highs and lows. Howmet is a public company and has the benefits and challenges that come along. The Verdi site is concerned with safely producing quality on time. A good place to work."
"I have worked for Howmet Aerospace for 23 years and just got laid off due to COVID-19. Howmet Aerospace is a leading manufacturing company for airplane engine nuts and bolts."
