"I’ve worked for HMS since 2019. It started off great. However, the GM is too consumed with himself to care about his employees. He treated me like a secretary not a manger. He doesn’t listen to anyone and does whatever he wants. Aside from that, the company doesn’t uphold promises. I was promised to be moved from an hourly position to salary by the beginning of the year. When I inquired about this I was told I wouldn’t be moved. I also was promised a 8-5 Schedule and minimal closing shifts since I was in a supervisor role not a direct hands on role. I have consistently closed every night since I started. I work 12-16 hour shifts and have no time for my son or even my school studies. They are very unreasonable and do not care about their employee well being."

"They need to have better communication and tools. Did not see much growth here but more favoritism, employees are not recognized for work done and that takes a team. No structure nor accountability."

"HMSHost HR department is possibly the worst I have experienced in my entire career. The turn-over is absolutely horrendous and can only point one way... management and leadership. From my research, other airports have the very same problems, like Charlotte Airport. Mr. CEO, wake up ! It is a clear reflection of your leadership and forthright. I am so disappointed working here for numerous reasons but I am looking to get out. The working environment and conditions are unbearable."

"I have worked with this company for 26 years. Currently have a bounty on my head to fire for I question management abuse of authority. More into barking at their employees for frivolous things rather than overseeing their unit. We are constantly out of food items, for management does not do proper inventory review in the unit and just guesses the food orders at the computer. The unit I work in has not had a proper cleaning in over 3 years and the food walk in is a disaster with food boxes on the floor and not unorganized as hell. Management likes to delegate rather than hands-on do it their self. Much abuse of the manager title rather doing management duties. Too many manager click groups and hire and make ANYBODY a manager with no proper experience of F&B experience. I strongly suggest NOT to work for this company!!"

"Bad management ! A lot of ghetto people working here bringing in ghetto drama. Their HR is not welcoming AT ALL!! Never can go to them for anything. Every time I go in with a question; the ladies brings out that vibe like were a BOTHER! Management gets too personal with employees Managements are unprofessional as well there are no privacy. But all in all Good $$$$ !!!! Great benefits due to Union!"
