What do you like about working at H&M?

"this was a job that provided income at atime when I needed income"

What don't you like about working at H&M?

"The primary Business of H.M. Thames Nuthouse is food service. I was hired to do Maintenance and Construction, but was shifted into doing food service work. I don't have experience in food service nor do I enjoy food service work."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Hire employees that like to do food service work."

"Interesting and fun place to work."

What do you like about working at H&M?

"I was able to frequenlty meet with and advise Designers and corporate marketing on what was going to sell in certain markets according to geograohic and economic areas as well as competition. I lived in Norway for 3 months to learn company culture and pass it on to sales managers etc."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Research company, ask alot of questions and how long it would take to reasonably move up in the company ( and/or relocate)"

What don't you like about working at H&M?

"Too many bosses ruined the stores."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Be fair to alll employees. Keep Managers at bay and establish strategic boundaries and guidlines to ensure success of all store managers and employees alike. Dont fire - just retrain and invest in all employees ( except those who steal)"

"If your focus is in store managment it is a great place to work. If you are interested in HR then there are opportunities for improvement."

"Everything -- the people, the assignment, the stores. It was an excellent career opportunity."

"Be yourself and have fun at the interview."

"The only thing that I didn't like was that the assignment ended much too soon."

"To hire more contract recruiters to open your new stores."

"well it is retail -- which gives you flexibility. very good training program for managers."

"stress can get to especially if you work at city locations."

"I loved working there but it took a toll on my personal life."

"I loved to travel and there were plenty opportunities for travel not only in the US but abroad."

"Be prepared for long shifts and overnights."

"The pay wasn't the best for the many long hours that were put in by management."

"Compensate your employees for their time and hard work."

"My boss is the best person to work for by far. He is real and really knows how to run the business well."

"It's not downtown and as of right now the pay is really not working for me."

"It was internationally based, so it had much diversity throughout. It was enjoyable to see how it functioned across the world with marketing and sales."

"hold a well intensified personality. great charisma and postivie attitudes is a must."

"The turnover was my least favorite. Getting too comfortable with staff and management as we understood our work ethic was bitter sweet."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Involve the entire staff with planning details.it encourages them at all levels to feel important"

"This is the very good company, people in there are very nice."

"Over all it's a great place to work. You develop yourself and depending how hard you are willing to work and how mobile you are willing to be you can move up pretty fast. You have to be open to changes, since H&M likes to change their ways of working pretty much every year. And it can be a bit rough but if you know what information to go off of you are golden."
