"It was difficult to launch a product in a timely fashion. All major approvals had to go through Japan, and they didn't fully understand the American Market."

"Japan should really spend time researching the American Market if they want to successfully launch a product in the US"

"Too much politics in department, they need to cut that down."

"Cut out the politics, and focus more on business and projects."

"Working for HGST was not a bad experience but it wasn't really to my tastes and I didn't enjoy it that much. I was not the same type of nerd and the other employees on my team so I did not want to hang out with them outside of work. I did not like the town much, either. It is not the best place for a college student or fresh out of college student, but more of a place for married couples and children."

"I worked for HGST (formerly STEC) since 2012 and I had a great experience with the current and past marketing team. The environment is great and everyone is friendly. I definitely enjoyed my time there. Although there were some changes when HGST bought STEC, they still offered plenty of perks for all employees. Overall, a great place to work."
