Graphic Designer

"The best day of my professional working career was when I stopped working for the Henry Schwab Company."

What do you like about working at Henry Schwab?

"I enjoyed working with my co-workers, they were friendly and normal people who were always kind and encouraging. I enjoyed the graphic design assignments and teaching myself php/mysql for web administration and development."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Expect to smiled to and looked down upon, expect empty promises and lots of downtime in an average successful wholesale company. Expect to witness sales data and profits that show healthy company growth and then receive a christmas bonus of less than half a week's pay. Expect to fight tooth and nail for raises only to be disrespected time and time again. Expect to be hired for one specific job and then be handed numerous antithetical tasks. Expect to look for another job."

What don't you like about working at Henry Schwab?

"Many things, but specifically the owners. They bought the company with an intention to flip it like a piece of property and then when the economy collapsed and they realized they were stuck with it, they did everything they could to squeeze every penny out of the company neglecting their employees in the process. Low pay, minimal health benefits, poor working conditions (sometimes we had no heat and hot water in the winter nor toilet paper...), dated and failing equipment (their attitude was let's just get by with what we have to save some money) and no respect for their workers. The Henry Schwab Company is run by greed and there is no room for growth and no place to go, it is a dead end job. It's a paycheck coupled with misery and redundancy."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Do something with what once was a successful and happy company. Treat your employees with respect as a valuable team members and not serfs."
