"I've worked for this firm for over 5 years and have always felt that I, as well as my work, is valued. While this is a very fast-paced work environment with a heavy workload, capable and motivated individuals willing to do the work thrive. Work-life balance is valued. No one is expected to stay late or come in early (though you are expected to complete your work during your usual work day) and times that I personally have stayed late to help an associate or partner, I have been offered comp time. Management is wiling and accessible to work with their employees to address any issues whether with workflow, personal issues/time off needed, etc., and the firm is committed to planning events to show their appreciation for staff. "I have worked in the billing department at Heckler & Frabizzio for a few years. I have had nothing but a great experience. (It makes me wonder if the other reviews are even talking about the same company). I am never asked to come in early or work late. My manager is very personable and care about our work product and cares about us as people. Management regularly gives unsolicited shout outs to staff members and also pays for a lot of "Fun" things that they don't have to do. Like cake every month, fun Fridays, firm picnics, holiday parties, closing the firm early before a holiday, etc. It is a high volume fast pace environment but if you just do your work everything is great. I like working at Heckler & Frabizzio."

What do you like about working at Heckler & Frabizzio?

"Because this is an insurance defense (primarily Workers' Compensation))law firm the work is very paper intensive so there is always work to do. I liked going to work and knowing exactly what I would be doing from one to the next. Very consistent workload flow so if you like being busy, this is the place for you."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Go in with a can do attitude and be prepared to do a lot of typing using the Docs Open software program."

What don't you like about working at Heckler & Frabizzio?

"Very little room for professional growth because the secretaries primarily do heavy transcription work (which is mostly correspondence) and very rarily type pleadings or get involved with the courts. They do, however, have a small PI department that may require the expertise of a legal secretary."

"The management team at this law firm is primarily focused on the actual work product and not the people performing the work!"
