What do you like about working at H-E-B?

"I like my co-workers. I also like the amount of freedom I have to provide support to my clients as I think best."

"Plan on a steep learning curve. There is always something to be done. Don't plan on much down time."

What don't you like about working at H-E-B?

"I do not like the compensation. I also do not have any opportunity for advancement."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would like IT staff to solicit opinions and recommendations from 'field' personnel more."

"I worked for HEB for a year and everything was awesome until my husband and I decided to add a little one to the family. Once I got pregnant the management did not care to make exceptions for me when pushing the grocery carts inside. I hurt myself while pregnant with my first child and was not happy with the way it was handled."

"I have currently worked for H-E-B for the past 5/6 years now. As a company, I cannot think of anybody else who shows their love for Texas and Texans as much as H-E-B does. Just coming into the store you can tell this has been made for Texas who love helping Texans and who love Texas."

Unless you were one of the golden children, you won't be recognized. Management is poor at best!! Good luck!"

"I've worked for HEB since Feb of 2012. It is a great organization to work for, yet the work/life balance is skewed. Promotions within the organization is not based on your contributions nor talents, therefore making it very difficult to get promoted within the organization."

"fast phase production and learn more about blow molds at the sametime"

"after working 13 hours that night they want you to stay over three more hours for a meeting"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"if you work night dont need to stay over for the meeting unless you come in late the next day"

"I've worked here for six years and have worked my way up from entry level store partner to corporate. The experience has been great, but like any other business it has its short falls. Company culture at corporate panders to favoritism, many promises are made for development without fruition, compensation does not match the amount of work, demands for the position are very high from leaders that have little understanding of the roles/responsibilities of the position."

"Good Pay. Great benefits. Most employees are happy yo have their job and want to do a good job."

"Go into it knowing you will never have a set schedule and working most weekends, nights, and holidays. Not a bad job."

"I hate the hours. Weekends. Nights. Holidays. I am sick of a different schedule every week."

"The same as any other big company. They need to listen to the employees that are in the action and not make decision based on zero experience in the departments."

"People were friendly, and the pay was good. Knowing that the company helped out in the community."

"Make sure you ask lots of questions and work lots of overtime to make your money."

"No career advancement unless supervisor likes you. Little to no communication"

"I would make sure there is more communication from the supervisor."

"Be honest about your abilities. What your strengths are and equally what your weaknesses are."

"Unrealistic goals for the maintenance department cause an apathetical view on performing thorough preventative maintenance."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Be more in touch with the needs of the crew. Adequate compensation for the level of commitment shown would go a long way in improving the internal moral."

"I have worked at the company since 2007. They were very good about helping me with scheduling to pursue school. I am now out of college and working there full time. I get screamed at a lot from customers for other department's mistakes. I hope you like working weekends."
