"I have worked at HEB for almost 2 years now and the atmosphere is welcoming and warming. HEB not only does a lot for their customers but also for their employees like providing them with a retirement plan and giving them stock within the company. HEB provides discounts and free items to workers. HEB as a company treats their employees better than any other grocery store and picks customer happiness over money."

"Nothing really. They didn't have a position I could move into in Austin when I got married, but they are a great company."

"Keep the company culture in place and continue to trust the people you hire to do the best job they can."

"Invest in your direct reports, show them the rungs in ladder and help them climb."

"Quality is not top priority. Safety is not top priority either. Top priority is making the product and as much as can be made."

"Communication is key to successful management. Also, making sure quality is top priority."

"I've worked for HEB for about 6 months now, and to say the least, they are a very good employer. The salary is a bit better then most of their competitors, but not too much. At my current position, there isn't all that much room for up-word movement as much of the management is entrenched. But there re opportunities at other stores."

They work with you. it’s pretty much impossible to get fired unless you just don’t wanna work. HEB gives you the flexibility to have a flexible schedule."
