"DO NOT DO IT"

What do you like about working at Healthcare Communications Group?

"Nothing."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"They only have one office in El Segundo. The other locations are just to fool their clients. If you are going to accept a job at HCG you must inflate your previous income and salary requirements. It could be several years before you get a raise and they do not believe in giving a bonus to employees other than $50 at Xmas, if that counts."

What don't you like about working at Healthcare Communications Group?

"Long hours without pay. No raises or bonuses. Cut back life insurance to $5k even though they are making a lot of money. No training. Senior management belittles the staff in front of one another. Lots of back stabbing in project management team. Worst environment ever. They manage through fear."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stop telling yourselves how great you are and listen to your employees. Any small business that fires 1-2 people per week must be doing something wrong."

Equipment Services Project Manager

"Brought back some bad memories"

What do you like about working at Healthcare Communications Group?

"I really didn't enjoy this experience. The only positive was actually that it was only a 20 minute commute from home."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't bother- it was the worst career mistake of my life."

What don't you like about working at Healthcare Communications Group?

"Underpaid for demands of the job, lack of senior mentorship, managers that throw their reports under the bus, fear-based leadership by senior management, lack of a human resources department, unethical hiring/firing practices, fake cheering sessions when new accounts were acquired, high turnover rate"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Focus on developing existing employees, rather than treating them as disposable. It costs a company much more to keep hiring/firing than working and mentoring your existing staff."
