"Stay away.....there are other places to work in houston it's the fourth largest city."

What don't you like about working at Harris County Appraisal District?

"We were not allowed to talk, management is not professional, the technology is historic, you are constantly watched and other employees tell on each other to make themselves look good to management. You are constantly sexually harassed. This place is extremely unprofessional and the employees are over worked and under paid. They frown on you taking a day off of time you have built up. The employees are negative and people are passed up for promotions because of managers not liking them even though they are qualified for the position. The managers talk down to you and treat you like cattle."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get some people skills and attend training workshops and treat people with respect and dignity and allow human resources to deal with time off, attendance and other things that are human resource related. And all salaries for each position need to be the same and not based on what that floors manager want to pay you, there should be a base scale per job title through out the company for positions of the same title and job description."

"The only suggestion I would have for management was to promote your people that have been failthful to doing the job."
