"This is the worst company ever. Maybe a dollar retailer is worse. You will work yourself into the ground, and it will still not be good enough. The company does a very good job of giving you almost enough staff to never get anything done so projects continually roll over and when that one fleeting moment where everything gets done and sales goals are being met, the rug gets pulled and it’s everyone’s fault. Store managers primarily are awful. They really only have one job in the office and that is to write the schedule but they stay in there all week. Avoid this place. Don’t even shop here."

"Great company to work at with some minor issues: Pros 1. Super friendly working environment - Most people I am working with are very friendly. 2. Lunch Room with Free Snacks and Coffee - Department may buy free meals occasionally. 3. Employee Discount - 20% off daily discount, and 25% during the holiday. 4. Worldwide sourcing and development team - You have many overseas travel opportunities if that is what you want. 5. Rapid expanding - More than 1100 stores in the US. 6. Flexible Working Schedule - Ask your supervisor if you can work from home, and its permanent, 7. Other benefits include 401K match, insurances, carpool, etc. Cons: 1. Founder involves daily operation heavily. - means, he may want to do one thing today and go in a different direction tomorrow. 2. Cost is more important than quality - most of the time, cost wins. 3. No Life & Work balance. Thousands of factories are in Asia, need to work literally 24 hours a day to confirm all project status. 4. More tasks will be assigned to you - just overnight. 5. IT infrastructure is OUTDATED - IT needs to upgrade IT 100 years ago!"

"Harbor Frieght Tools is a wonderful company. Unfortunately I was there on a temporary assignment that ended when the pandemic hit. I would love to work there again and am currently interviewing with them to see if there is a remote role for me."

"I had a great experience at this company. The management was kind and treated me very well. The only issues I had with the company was the low payment, and I wasn't allowed to work more than 20 hours a week. I want to work full-time"

"I work at Harbor Freight. It’s a job where the pay sucks. They expect a lot for such little pay. The turnover rate is horrible."

"Complete lack of management. Managers only manage their own careers. There is an on-call rotation but in reality you're on-call 24/7. No training unless you want to pay out-of-pocket and use your own vacation time. This is where careers go to die. Complete good 'ol boy shop. If you're not outside friends with your manager you have no career path. You're a chair warmer."

"If you value your career at all don't go here. The managers only manage their careers and anyone below senior management has no voice. If you're just looking for somewhere to warm a chair this might be for you if you can stand it. No training. Careers go here to die."
