"I appreciate that Hannfords are more employee orientated than some. They are more aware of the community and are working towards a greener lifestyle for all. I think that this company is more awake then some in that they want to help heal the damage done to the earth, and that is a very important ideology to me. I have found being employed by this company that this is one that follows through with the things it says, it doesn't just say the words it acts on them too."

"I started this job 8 years ago so I do not remember everything."

What do you like about working at Hannaford?

"At the time it was the highest paying job for a high school student. They were fairly understanding about school and personal issues."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"The level I worked at was fine for a high school job. I would not have wanted to make a career out of it but I am sure that if you would like to it is fine.Transferring and promotions internally are accessible and they will help you with a career path if you are serious."

What don't you like about working at Hannaford?

"The management has to realize that teenagers are working for them and need to pick their battles. Teenagers should not be allowed to do whatever they want in the work place but I had to leave the company because of things in my personal life that were entirely legal and did not hurt my job performance or anyone else."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Lighten up."
