2.4Dial back on the lifespan of infractions, or give dedicated employees methods to work them off. Some people refuse to cover shifts in fear of the possibility of a write up. Employee recognition is non-existant. The Thanks a bunch cards are given extremely rarely, and even then they seem like an insult, as they only qualify you for a raffle. You don't have to make us like the job, but you could at least make it tolerable. It seems every benefit given to the customers is taken at cost to the employees.
3.2I appreciate that Hannfords are more employee orientated than some. They are more aware of the community and are working towards a greener lifestyle for all. I think that this company is more awake then some in that they want to help heal the damage done to the earth, and that is a very important ideology to me. I have found being employed by this company that this is one that follows through with the things it says, it doesn't just say the words it acts on them too.
2.4I've worked at Hannaford since 2007. I started out in the deli department and was consistently promised opportunities to move up in the store, management failed to come through usually choosing an outside candidate. These usually didn't work out for them however. At best hope for a lateral move to keep from getting bored in the same position.
