"Overall, Guidance has above-average facilities, work to life balance, compensation and perks. But it is incredibly top heavy, with layer upon layer of development managers serving no particular purpose. Too many managers actively oppose the newly introduced agile/scrum process, making kinks much harder than they should be to resolve. Many managers are in place due to relationships rather than skills. Very race/gender non-diverse environment. Constant major reorganizations of team structure and development process leave staff constantly unsettled. CEO holds "brown bag" lunches at company-subsidized cafe but makes employees pay their own way for the opportunity to out brown nose each other. More of an ex-cop ex-gov culture than a software culture. The long-termers are mired in fiefdom maintenance - get in, make mint, escape."
