"I know for a fact I was laid off because of my salary. In other words, my last company did not value my quality of work, but just what I cost them in payroll. For example, I bailed out another PM who made a complete mess out of a 100+ site installation. The customer was ready to cancel. The project was moved to me the middle of the installations and straightened the ship After a month or so, the customer changed their attitude 100% was extremely satisfied and continued to place new orders. Now I am out of work and that other PM is still working with GTT because I made more than him."

"Honestly I find it extremely unprofessional to require me to state what I currently make. This job that you are offering should be based off of responsibility and duties and I would hope that my current salary is not a baseline of my personal compensation boundaries.
That said - My current salary is not based on anything but what I made in comparison to my overtime rates in the Network Operations Center with a slight increase. I thought it was unethical then and I still do. My current role should pay me roughly $85 - $95K annually in comparison to others with my title and duties."
