"Dear Sir/Madam, Here is a brief description of my day to day responsibilities at my most recent position at GTreasury. I worked at GTreasury for a little over six years. When I started with the company, it was a Mom and Pop organization that consisted of about 30 people, and when I left, it consisted of about 200 employees, and the Mom and Pop had recently retired and a large investment company had put 42 million into the company so that they could streamline the organization. My job was eliminated as part of the streamlining process. GTreasury had about 200 large companies as clients. The largest client was General Electric. GTreasury offered the client companies a web application that would allow them to keep track of where all there money is in the various banks that they have around the world. For example, General Electric might have some of their money in Chase banks, some of their money in Bank of America, etc. Since the money is several different types of banks, they needed a centralized way to keep track of the funds in each bank. GTreasury’s web application allowed the company to see where all their money is each day so that they could invest any money they had that exceeded their daily operating expenses. Being able to invest any money not needed for operating expenses, allows the client company to increase their income. The web application was a monolithic three-tier ASP.NET application that was written in C#. The front-end of the application was mainly web forms, but it also used some MVC. They also used Telerik thirdparty Kendo grid controls to display a lot of the information with a consistent look and feel. The back end of the application consisted primarily of sql server, but they also used entity framework. Over the past year and a half, there was a large push to use web api so I spent a good bit of my time on that effort. I worked primarily on the business logic layer of the application, but also worked some on both the front end and the backend."
