"I've worked here for 3 years. The company is definitely in an interesting period for growth and changes. The company today is somewhat different from 3 years ago. The company is aiming to grow rapidly, and that shows in management style and communication within the organization. Like any of major accounting firms, the company has high employee turnover rate. All the interesting and fun people leave early in their career leaving not so exiting partners and senior management."

"The work is all about making rich people richer, it's hard to see the tangible benefits of what you do"

"The leadership is actually quite good, the offices are dreary so I'd re do those"

"I like the salary; I think the money is good."

"Don't bother. If you want to work those kinds of hours, you can do so for more money at the Big Four."

What don't you like about working at Grant Thornton?

"The hours are ridiculous, particularly in busy season. The expectation is that everybody will regularly work their evenings and weekends. There is an unreasonable amount of travel and working away from home."

"Ensure that people don't work more than their contracted hours. Make the system of promotion fairer."

"Stick with it. Can often be challenging and you may feel in over your head, but you are gaining valuable experience which will aid in any career you choose."

"too much overtime in consecutive months with no breaks. Not enough appreciation for doing a good job."

"figure out what employees want in order to retain them, what makes individuals happy and do things that directly affect those people on an individual basis."

"Make sure that you strike the balance you want - it's easy to want everyone to like you and love your work product but that's impossible."

"I report to approximately 10 people that are all looking for someone to point the finger at."

"I would make sure that even at the lower levels (associate, senior associate) people were learning and getting challenging work"
