"no career growth as an engineer. program managers are not competent. next to zero design opportunities. lots of politics."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"start keeping promises to respect the career, educational and skills needs of engineering. stop building an over-sized manufacturing and operations capability that we neither need or can afford. push back on silly corporate mandates for CI and CMMI which add to the overhead by millions. give us back a fair opportunity to make bonuses. push back on corporate shoehorning us into 1 medical plan!"

"I liked working with the director of engineering who was very kind."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Answer questions honestly and avoid those people who gossip if hired."

What don't you like about working at Goodrich?

"Management is a confused mass of people who don't seem to want to grow the company and too much infighting amongst the engineers and management. Some engineers were also two faced and gossiped a lot. I don't think gossip is good for the work place."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Take risks in bid proposals. Goodrich had a temp force of about 50% with no benefits. They should hire permanent employees and foster loyalty from their employees. I did not meet one employee who felt loyal to Goodrich while I was there."
