What do you like about working at Greater New York Insurance Co.?
"Some employees are good, management is stuck in the 1980's corporate culture."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"If you're a rookie and you decide to work here, keep looking on the side. You'll see the difference once you go to another insurance company (if you stay that path). CEO putting his daughter at the helms of the company is a big mistake. Have seen plenty of management come here and leave very soon thereafter. They seem to be stunned with the way things are run. We get it, its still a bad job market, but to assume people will continue to be treated like robots is backfiring. Plenty left and plenty are actively looking. Good luck GNY, take a hint from other companies in the space who evolved and don't run their companies like they just read a 1980's MBA manual."
What don't you like about working at Greater New York Insurance Co.?
"Very outdated, 1980's corporate ruling mentality, absolutely no innovation. Embarrassed when dealing with other companies regarding business issues - come on - no voicemail, company domain email doesn't work correctly, etc.. Very unprofessional."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Increase morale among employees, give them the tools and training to actually do the job you want done. This is the reason other P/C companies in the market are wiping the floor and taking your business."
