Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be prepared to step into a privately owned company that does thngs there own way, irrespective of your experience or thoughts regarding how things should be done. Also, tenure (for staff other than yourself) means more than any great ideas you may bring to the table, so be prepared to take a back seat to the good old boys."

What don't you like about working at General Information Services?

"There is a lot of confusion about who takes ownership of a project and scope creep is not handled very well at all. Also, there is a lot of profanity in the office place and it is widely condoned. Also, more than one full time management level persons resigned during my 7 month tenure there, which doesn't reflect well on upper management."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Determine exactly what your needs are before bringing in contract employees; otherwise, it's a waste of everyone's time."
