"The work that we did there building Army tanks for the government, was my way of doing my part to give to my country. I miss the people"
What don't you like about working at General Dynamics?
"At that time of being employed with General Dynamics, there was a great deal of turmoil over how they treated their people. Especially first line supervision. Engineering and quality issues, and the daily production levels were a major undertaking and caused bottle necks in the system making it very difficult to achieve some of the company goals. We did the best with less!"

"If you promise an employee a superintendent position, but don't follow though, don't use the answer, we don't think you are ready and not have a good reason of why they are not ready. How can an employee fix issues and management problems with no feedback"

"The three P's just about says it all for KBR."

"They hire too many supervisors for who they are, not for what they know, and experience counts for absolutely nothing."

"Just be yourself. Let them do as much of the talking as possible. The people who do the hiring like to hear themselves talk. Brush up on your Spanish, as this division of the company is well over 80% Hispanic."

"This company, or at least the portion of the company I worked for, is very clannish. Promotions were not necessarily given according to merit or capabilities. It is more not what you know, but who you know. My experience was also, that management did not stand behind their personnel."

"I liked the great selection of merchandise."

"Don't work for Sears."

"There were too many top priorities. EVERYTHING to them is on your A list of things to get done."
