"I've worked at Generac Power Systems for 2 years and found the business to be very good."
"I worked at Generac Power Systems for two years as Senior Engineer. Upper management is lacking good communication skills with their employees as a whole. Lab space is not utilized in an efficient or effective manner. Internal politics runs rampant at Generac, and they have a proverbial “good old boys club” in management that demonstrates favoritism within the promotion process internally. Not a good atmosphere there, and definitely not a user friendly staff."
"Good benefits. A very poor work environment. All the decisions are made at the Ex-VP Level, no one below them has any input."
"It's not a horrible company but not a place where you would want to work for a long period of time."
"A Good and Enjoyable Place to Work"
"I worked for Generac Power Systems for 18 months and 1 day out of the blue my entire department was eliminated. The week before I received my annual review with all very high marks, goals met and or exceeded. There was no warning what so ever and the position I held was one step below Director level. The company is aggressive in their sales goals and the compensation is very good. The level of communication within the department I was working for was non existent due to the Vice President."
"I've only been at Generac for a couple years but realized early on that they put on the front of a modern/hip/family company but that couldn't be further from the truth. Processes/procedures in place may have worked when this was a small company but for having a 3500+ head-count & $1.5+ billion company is very stale, antiquated, and old fashioned (not in a good way). At the HQ nearly 3000 employees and there are so few bathrooms that anytime of the day you wait in line to use the restroom."
"A unique place to work, fast paced with lots of change."
