What do you like about working at Geisinger Health System?
"I like the opportunity to lead projects to completion and having the opportunity to continue working with software development."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"This is a good place to learn a thing or two since you'll be expected to do everything under the sun and not be able to focus on anything. If you want to be productive you'll quickly find yourself looking for another job."
What don't you like about working at Geisinger Health System?
"I do not like the heavy bureaucracy that heavily chains any progress and the constant need to prepare for battle whenever something nears completion since this is pretty much like working in a Government union workshop. The simplest tasks turn into full time jobs for anybody there, accomplishing something means that you don't want to work. I also don't like having a pager that constantly goes off because people are consistently trying to bypass the systems and trying to snooker in bad work. A lack of foresight causes a system that barely works with constant need for babysitting and monitoring."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Walk the floors weekly and communicate to all your workers to find out if there's any stoppages occurring in productivity."
