"Gazette Communications -- Multimedia Company"

What do you like about working at The Gazette?

"Gazette Communications offers an environment conducive to being innovative in the development of its advertising products and services, especially in light of the changing standards of the industry from strictly print to multimedia. To that end, it does offer internal training when technology is updated within the organization and does encourage its employees to pursue educational opportunities to keep abreast of industry standards."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be sure to keep yourself abreast of the current multimedia trends -- including web development, social media networking, and standard graphic design trends -- and market your strengths in these areas to the company. (Strong proofreading/editing skills are a plus as well.) Show your willingness to go above and beyond in how to make the company stronger by offering your assistance in the development of the company's products and services."

What don't you like about working at The Gazette?

"Salary compensation is average (at best) for its production-level employees, and doesn't always keep up with the necessary standard of living. Graphic Designers, alone, within the company could make an average of $5.00 (or more) per hour more."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"While there were the annual holiday bonuses offered to employees (and the occasional food celebration for certain benchmarks) during my employment with Gazette Communications, it would have been nice to receive positive feedback on achievements and suggestions that individual employees made to the company as a whole. The overall morale during my emploiyment would've been improved in that regard."
