"GaSonics had a lay-off and eventually went out of business."

"I was the sole buyer for their new Thermal Products Division, so I purchased ALL the commodities to manufacture their newest, largest, and most expensive Vertical High-Pressure machine. Totally separate from the main Purchasing Department for the main facility located a few blocks away."

What don't you like about working at Gasonics International?

"Because I was the only Buyer that did not work for the Purchasing Manager of the main company's facility, my salary and directives came from the totally separate Thermal Products Division. When that division's sales had to wait out a lengthy approval cycle from the Semiconductor community in general (to observe the performance and maintenance of the first-article VHP machine) that entire new division was put on hold and some of those employees were absorbed into the main plant. There were no new openings in their Purchasing Department, and they had a lay-off of 20% of all employees, myself included."
