"THE DISTRICT I WORKED IN WAS VERY BAD WITH TURNOVER, THATS ONE OF THE REASONS I NLEFT I WENT THRU SEVEN DISTRICT MANAGERS WITHIN A ELEVEN MONTH PERIOD."

"MUSTT HAVE THE MIND SET OF COMPUTER GAMES AND BE VERY CUSTOMER SERVICE READY"

"I love video games and felt that I was a part of an industry that was changing entertainment. I enjoyed the challenge of running a store."

"Now that this is a serious company that is very focused on the bottom line as it should be. During my time there I interviewed many people who thought that the job consisted only of playing games and talking about games. It can be a fun place to work if you keep in mind that you are a sales person and manager first and gamer second."

What don't you like about working at Game Stop?

"Job became a series of threats about losing your job for not meeting goals that I considered unrealistic. The company expected growth in sales of about ten percent while opening many new stores, a lot of which competed with each other for the same customer base."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Try to manage by positive reinforcement a little more. Don't allow district manager to try to intimidate managers with termination on a regular basis."

"Poor direction and high expectation from management, racist and sexist environment, limited hours for staff, poor communication, deceitful business practices, unsuitable working conditions, very high turnover rate, unorganized inventory system, unfair business practices, dishonest manager behavior"

"Become more involved with managers' individual concerns, monitor store policies and hiring practices, explore working conditions and manager behavior"
