"Unrealistic expectations as far as reserves and subscriptions. Move from physical to mostly digital on PC content. Lack of follow-through from upper management (DM etc) on many things. Quite a bit of micromanagement."

"The business goals involved trading and pre-ordering products but offered little to no incentive to the employees or management team. The location where I worked in particular saw much more traffic but much less sales due to the nature of the mall location compared to stand alone locations."

"There should be a greater incentive for performance and a greater amount of regular scheduling. The total store hours were often very restrictive and should be expanded for better store maintenance."

"I liked the atmosphere and being able to help everyone that walked through the door. When people told me that they were going to start coming to my store over someone else's because of the way they felt important or listened to made the job worth going to. I got to know quite a few of the customers on a personal level which was nice."

"Just be confident and don't be scared to speak your mind. More people get hired there for being out going and not shy."

"I didn't like how the company trained employees half the time new employees didn't learn the bare unessential of the paper work side of the company."

"I would suggest that they set some time aside to explain to new employees the importance of various procedures. I would also suggest they train everyone slightly more then they have to so the people below understand what the people above them are doing."

"I have a BA in business management. I wasted 2 years of my life as an ASM waiting for the company to get its act together and give me my own store as promised to me upon my hire. I finally quit that sinking ship and got a job that pays 3x as much. If you are looking for a career, look elsewhere."
