"The management here actually comes to your desk and asks what you are working on and what, if anything, you need to better execute the task at hand. They are aware, on a daily basis, where projects stand; allowing excellent forcasting and communication with customers."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Establish your desired wage and benefits going in the door. Keep in mind that bonuses are given out here, it's not just blowing smoke at the interview."

What don't you like about working at G4S?

"When I was there the management structure was still being organized. This led to some abiguity as to who, in essence, was directing the projects. They were on top of this and probably have settled on a structure by now."

"Establish the management structure and stay attuned to process of projects when forming commitments to customers"

"The level of responsibility the job demands. The site I am assigned to demands responsibility, team work, a professional work demeanor and excellent customer service skills."

"make sure you receive all the facts about the position you are going for. For Example, the pay, vacation days and hours worked."

"The pay is low. I feel I am not using all of my skills and education at my current position."

"I would have more contact with our employees at the various sites that we supply service to."

"I hate having so much downtime where I'm not able to do anything."

"Improve sales team by providing better training and tracking system."

"Make sure you can pass a drug test, a Department of Juvenile Justice background screening, and that you have a clean driving record."

"I currently don't like the fact that I am not making enough money."

"They should restart pay raises again and include cost of living increase."

"There is nothing that I did not like working for this company."

"I would suggest to keep up the great work that they do."

"The projects assigned really pushed the technology envelope. At Times, we had to think outside the box."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Everything I have stated is based on perception, so...no advice. Each person should be able to make their own decisions without outside, possibly biased, opinions."

What don't you like about working at G4S?

"My boss. She seemed to manipulate our performance reviews in a way that prevented advancement. During an average performance review, she once told me that perception is everything when referring to my work ethic. I would arrive at work at between 5 am and 7 am daily because of the work load, but I need to leave by 5 pm. She told me that people outside the department would talk about how I left at 5 pm every night. It didn't matter to her that I was actually putting 10-12 hrs every day. What mattered to her was what other perceived."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Upper management should monitor middle management more closely. Middle management needs to be more fair and honest with the employees under them."

"The company is a cookie cut company. I mean high turnover with no accountability and no care at the field level for field level work. The corporate office does like to show concern but does not concern themselves too much at the ground level. Better to pass this company by unless desperate for work."

"I worked for G4S for several years. The raises are close to non-existent, averaging 1.5%. They also do not have a long term business plan or any continuity. They hire a lot of people, and lay off a lot of people. Benefits are OK, but you should plan on getting no additional pay other that what is in your offer."

"I've worked for G4S for over 10 years, improvement can be utilized across the board and that comes with open communication. Very grateful for the opportunity that I was given with the company."

It provides good customer service and the Officers are trained to observed and report all incidents, protect employees and properties It is a company of good work ethics and and customer service. Management at all levels is too excellent in its duties and works to create an environment of an excellent production and Tidiness.It is a good company to work with."
