"Keep interviewing. It may be a good stepping stone but never never never treat that place as though it is a career"

What do you like about working at Florida State University?

"There are not a lot of constraints. If you manage to get tenure it's a secure job -- but even then, tenured faculty have been fired for economic reasons."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Keep interviewing. It may be a good stepping stone but never never never treat that place as though it is a career."

What don't you like about working at Florida State University?

"Administration (lack of). Working at FSU is like working in a prison where the inmates run everything. It's an Animal Farm where I would not even send an unwanted dog.1) Don't expect to get any pay raises.2) Don't expect to have a congenial work environment 3) Take everything you are told during job interviews with a grain of salt."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Do everybody a favor and quit already. Get some REAL management in place -- people who are willing to actually MANAGE."
