"One of the best hollywood studios to work for - hands down! The stability of their projects, groups speaks a lot about the company's character. The environment fosters good collaboration and team work. The company's strategy to diversify and focus on small screen (TV), while making blockbuster movies is simply genius! Long live entertainment and long live hollywood! :)"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"A weekly or bi-weekly meeting to address issues, concerns or questions/comments of your team. A happy team is a happy boss and vice versa. Open communication is key to any successful business/team."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If the entertainment industry is truly the career that you wish for, then go into an interview with gusto. If there is any question about it, or if there are other options for you, I would recommend looking more closely at those other options. Keep your head on a swivel because most employees will be willing to chop you off at the knees to make themselves look good in the eyes of their superiors. Cut throat organization."

What don't you like about working at Fox Entertainment Group?

"There is a culture of win at any cost and a general attitude of insecurity among the employees. The culture of winning undermines the effectiveness of the organization as a whole because departments within the company will try to sink other departmental ships in order to make their own unit appear stronger & smarter."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would strongly recommend that every level of the organization be prepared to make tough decisions regarding the acceptance of responsibility for their actions. Mistakes are made every day, but as long as management & staff are willing to take responsibility for their own actions, learn from their errors, and work diligently to improve their systems, work flows, communications and decision-making, the company as a whole will benefit. The individuals will also be able to sleep at night with a clear conscience."

Intern

"It was a great experience working at D P Fox and Entertainment."

"The people were fun and varied. I liked my supervisor, and working on MySpace.com. I was able to work at my own pace so long as I achieved our goals."

What don't you like about working at Fox Entertainment Group?

"As a contractor, there was a glass ceiling and I was not able to advance my position or pay. As the business changed, the work environment changed too; it started out as a fun place, then the company changed, and it was as though we suddenly came under an iron fist."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would only suggest that people who are interested in working for MySpace (or similar jobs) as a contractor or temporary employee, to expect that they will not become a permanent employee. When I joined MySpace, I expected to become a permanent employee, but it never happened."
