What do you like about working at Connections Academy?
"Over-staff of CFI's, under qualifications of new CFI's. Beginning hourly rate of 14 dollars an hour. School charges pilot-in-training 67 dollars an hour for instruction. Not allowed to instruct during personal time - immediate termination if discovered giving flight instruction outside company."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Do not waste your time. 'Inside hire' non-written policy excludes possibility of being hired if not received certificates with Aerosim Flight Academy (formerly DCA)."
What don't you like about working at Connections Academy?
"CFI hire as contractor. 450 dual-given instruction ASEL hour minimums imposed prior to being 'allowed' to instruct in multi-engine."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Outside hire of more qualified instructors. Combined private-instrument TCO ineffective. Offer part 61 certificate option."
