What do you like about working at FLEXCO?

"Flexco is a 1 product line company with no major competitors. It is an international company in scope which allowed me to work in the field in Africa, Australia, China, and Europe, in the mining industry looking for new product line expansion opportuinities"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be ready to work in the underground mining industry. Some international mines (China) have had over 1,000 underground mining deaths per year. Also ask, what new market segments are you looking at moving into (Note: Food conveyor belt systems is very competitive with companies with much larger new product development budgets than Flexco has to spend). What new ( not revised) but new products have they introduced to the market in the last 3 years What growth opportunities exist for a new employee within the company This is a family owned - privately held company. What has the famillies position been as sales continues to drop as the World Energy needs switches to new cleaners sources of energy. FLEXCO's main market is the underground coal mining industry. Do your due diligence - take a look a future growth projections for new coal fired power plants before signing on with FLEXCO."

What don't you like about working at FLEXCO?

"Working in the underground coal industry is very dangerous. International mines follow few safety standards. This was always a concern because most of my time was spent underground developing and testing new product concepts."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"With the pressure to reduce emmisions, nuclear plant, gas plants, Wind Power, and Solar, will continue to cut into the need for new coal fire power plant construction, and the closing of old coal fired power plants. Even research to reduce the use of metalurgical coal is underway. As coal usage drops off, Flexco Management needs to look at their expertise, manufacturing capabilities, and other material handling markets, where their manufacturing capabilities and industry knowledge can be applied. Few new products are coming out of this company, only small changes to existing products."

"Owner was an honest man - never tried to decieve me."

"Be aware of potential frequent policy changes"

"Be willing to compensate competitively"
