"Man... where to begin. So as my first time being a concierge, I'd say that it has taught me to be very patient of everybody's demands... and mean ALL of them, realistic and unrealistic. A typical day at work involves driving up to Atlantic station, walking to the front desk to clock in, and start receiving all of the resident's bs complaints and comments against the HOA/COA that they were paying for, and all the ridiculous rules that we have to enforce constantly to extremely entitled individuals. The renting side of it is ridiculous, as if they don't follow up with the background checks to make sure they don't let the trash in--but low and behold here is a bougie disrespectful guest of a resident cursing me out about a parking pass after 11 pm. (The cut off time for visitor passes). The hardest part of that job is dealing with inconsistent rules and subtle racism in the building and higher up management. The hours are a little hard on you too if you're not used to working overnight. Best part about the job is meeting Atlanta celebrities and watching the bombshells (men & women) walk through the lobby. Management is a bunch of shady, 2 faced snakes that can't take responsibility for their actions, and throw you under the bus for consecutive write ups leading up to termination. "Everything is the concierge's fault!!" is what's ingrained into people's heads that live there. There are a few precious jewels in that trash heap that kind of makes it worth staying. Payroll fumbled around with my paid leave/vacation time, but they resolved it fairly quickly. Most coworkers were awesome and had my back more than the management, but there were some questionable people there working as well. To conclude this, the amount of work, unprofessionalism, and lack of job security and advancement DO NOT make the $13/hr gig worth your time and energy. Stay away from this company!!"
