"This is my second go-around working for First Financial Bank. I love the small-town bank feel, the relationships with the clients and my co-workers. We are able to exponentially grow while maintaining a strong ethical approach to banking"
"Nice place to work. Good opportunity to be cross trained in lending and account opening. Good minimum pay."
"First Financial is a company that is established and solid. I feel they could step up in the technology department and are behind the times in banking. I feel operations are very inefficient and could use a change in procedures."
"A great team and manager to work with, getting things done, questions answered and items in was easy. Working remotely grew on me and now I don't know why companies pay overhead if they don't have to. This was an open contract that due to volumes, they cut back. Thank goodness things are getting back"
"I have worked at FFB since 2016. I started off at an entry-level teller and within 3 years, became a Retail Supervisor over my location. I have begun to notice that FFB has a high rate of turnover within the company. I did not notice this until I started my position in management. FFB is a lower-paying institution, but that is understandable since it is only found in Texas. However, I think the common thread is finding that the employer does not appear to care as much for the employee as it does about its revenue. FFB has the potential of being a great employer, but I do not feel it best for me to continue my employment while they attempt to figure that out. In short, the employees seem like a "number" and not an individual."
"A bank that has not yet reached the technology level to allow it to match other online banking or services of other institutions. Poor management decisions from top-level management and no specific details are given when separated from the company."
"The corp level completely ignores all the issues and problems at local level. Locally they have total disregard for their employees and their families. Rules & regulations are completely ignored. There are a certain few that get away with any and everything!!! If you didn't do as they wished, life was made MISERABLE!!!!"
"I would recommend the CEO and I would recommend working in other departments of the company and other units of IT, just not Network Services. The supervisor is inept and does not know how to lead a team of highly skilled engineers. There is a bit of a glass ceiling at the upper levels so there really isn't much room for advancement within IT. Other companies I have worked for do a better job at training and mentoring its employees for leadership opportunities."
"The lack of upward mobility in IT is frustrating for highly skilled engineers, thus lots of dissatisfaction and turnover."
