"If you're the type of person who enjoys mindless tasks that a monkey could do, this is the place for you. Challenges to keep it interesting are incredibly rare. Advancement opportunities are limited, and there's not much in the way of diversity."

What don't you like about working at First Citizens Bank?

"I'm not sure where to start - most of the people I worked with were unpleasant, upper management was incredibly blatantly didn't care about their employees, and middle management seemed to contain a lot of people with a severe Napoleon complex. Requesting time off nearly always turned into a power struggle as someone else would come up with a reason why they needed that particular day off more than you (every time)."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Be open to the ideas and suggestions of your employees. Don't just say you want your employees to balance work and family when what you really mean is to put the job above family, God, and country. Tolerance is something not only to teach, but to strive for; and diversity is a strength, not a weakness. Treat your employees as adults instead of delinquent children and you will be pleasantly surprised with the results."
