"I love the challenging nature of the field and how it can all be approached like a puzzle. A major dislike--and this is said for the field in general--is how it is treated as very underwhelming, and in some cases, is not taken very seriously by other departments. I have always strove to change this perception with the organization I am a part of."
"Pros: I love the challenge that arises when you code a new feature. The satisfaction of developing code and make it useful for your firm is gratifying. Cons: It is always difficult to elicit the FW requirements when working with customers as they are not entirely sure about their needs."

"I love the variety, I like writing embedded code, debugging it, I love getting it to work bullet proof! What I hate is having to look for new gigs. I'm interested in getting a full time job doing firmware."
"I left Lexmark because I got bored writing device drivers. It just didn't seem very significant. Lexmark did not seem to be on the Vanguard of anything, and in fact seemed to be declining. However, writing Firmware in general was often quite fulfilling. The feeling of writing bug-free, efficient code is certainly good."
"I love writing code, debugging my own code, making things work! I hate it when a company runs out of work for me"
