"I would make more of an effort to retain talent and simplify the work"

"I liked some of my co-workers, there was an element of shared suffering."

"Don't bother, find something else. But if you can't find something else. Get in and get out as quickly as possible."
What don't you like about working at PACCAR?
"They don't know how to do anything without a set of strictly adhered to procedures. The pay, vacation, sick time policies were all sub-par compared to other local companies. Turn-over is also incredibly high, for obvious reasons."

"Update sick time policy, dress code, vacation policies and overall climate of micro-management."

"At times artificial deadlines are created which cause things to be rushed when in actuality they could have waited."

"I would worry less about managing metrics and more about delivering a high quality product on time."

"Maybe recognize that not all of us can devote 100 hours a week"

"Caterpillar is in transition. It definitely is conservative with flashes of collaborative culture. Cat provides a great support network and learning opportunities, but it still values years of internal experience the most."

"Cat has a very supportive work environment and is conservatively managed; you have to prove yourself and wait your turn to get the best opportunities."

"I wish we had more personal time to develop ourselves and an option for unpaid time."

"Ensure employee career opportunities are not merely determined by direct supervisor opinion and provide a better process to change jobs within the organization."

"It is too manual of processes. Work is redundant and not very challenging."

"The technology was pretty good, facilities were good, some of the people were good, but even the good ones were stressed out and paranoid because if you don't fall in line and drink the Kool-Aid, you are one step from being laid off."

"If you are interviewing, as them last time they did a company-wide salary increase for salaried employees, and ask them how many weeks of vacation did they force in the current and/or prior year."
What don't you like about working at Semtech?
"No across the board salary increase for salaried employees in years. They make unreasonable budget goals, then force vacation to lower expenses, but do not cut the workload, so end up taking time off and working from home."

"Stop thinking you are the smartest person in the room."
