"Acquire a better forecast of sales revenues for office recruitment. Don't overextend a new office before building a sales territory."

What do you like about working at Ingersoll Cutting Tools?
"I was able to work out of my home at my own pace. I was totally responsible for myself and my performance. I liked working out of my home and setting my own schedule and times to work and go home. I liked the life style of sales and what it offers in income and freedom. I liked the company and the peopleI worked with on a daily basis. I truly modern company and facility. I tried to learn everything about my product line possible. I read during my lunch hours article we published. I read the catalogs and parts lists. I study thetest reports so I knew what worked in what materials best. I wanted to beprepared at aech sales call I made so that I could best serve my customers.I wanted to be the best technical salesman on the road. ANd I prooved it byby my orders and knowledge everyday. We had one of best territories in the company. One of the top ten in the country. Best technical team around."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Make sure you are a well rounded tooling person. If you are looking for atooling company that has milling turning drilling boring, they have it. Ifyou lack the knowledge, they have the training. If you need more GET IT.They have the products, they have the inventory, they have the product experts so there are no excuse to make your quota's and sales goals and the money you want. It is a good company with a good future ahead."
What don't you like about working at Ingersoll Cutting Tools?
"The only really down side was not having a local facility that I could runto if I needed something right away. It was a minor disadvantage. But itwas really not a big issue. With computors, e-mails, and cell phones todaycommunication is key to getting things done. SO most of thime I was able toget what I need, only a few times did I not get what I needed shipped out ontime."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"It would be nice to have a small key group of people in the sales group thatwould be the end of the day ( emergency team group ) that would be responsible for any last minute rush orders, test tools that need to getout so that these key things are DONE without hesitation or need to havea meeting to or management approval on such minor field needs..."

"It is not a flexible company, do not be deceived by what appears to be a descent size company."

"The company is structured with alot of boundaries and limitations"

"Open up to more suggestions be less headstrong in your belief"
